The KBDI Faculty

The KBDI Faculty provides direction, support, organization, management, research, development and education to our Interns, Staff, Board and Preceptors.   Our Faculty is comprised of two expert Registered Dietitian Nutritionists with very different and complimentary backgrounds.  Our Faculty is passionately committed to the program and making a difference in the world through our work with our interns.    

Beryl Krinsky, MBA, MS, RDN is the Director of the Komplete Business Dietetic Internship and the Founder and CEO of B.Komplete Corporate Wellness.  She is passionate about merging nutrition and wellness with business and has been a successful entrepreneur for the past 7 years.  Beryl enjoys working with Dietetic Interns and teaching them the foundations of sales, marketing and communication – in a really fun and practical way.  Beryl has been an ACEND Program Reviewer since 2017.  Beryl enjoys working with other Internship Directors and learning best practices for dietetic internships.  Beryl is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the New Jersey Dietetic Association.  Beryl loves all aspects of wellness and enjoys yoga, biking, hiking, cooking, learning, meditation, dancing and laughing.  Beryl is from Philadelphia and currently lives in Collingswood, NJ.  Beryl loves animals and is the Mom of a pet bunny.  Please connect with Beryl on LinkedIn.  

Kelan Sarnoff, MS, RDN worked as a nutrition educator with a community nutrition program prior to becoming a clinical dietitian. In the clinical setting, Kelan specialized in GI disorders, diabetes education and nutrition support. She also worked as an outpatient dietitian and taught community nutrition classes for two years. Most recently Kelan worked for another internship program, where she developed and taught a graduate-level Medical Nutrition Therapy course. Kelan has precepted over 50 interns and loves helping interns discover their passion. She hopes to inspire future dietitians to pursue careers in leadership and non-traditional areas in dietetics. Kelan recently launched a career coaching business to support dietitians. In her spare time, Kelan enjoys mountain biking, skiing, running, gardening and traveling. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and her daughter, Vivian.

The KBDI Board

The KBDI Board Team provides oversight, guidance, counseling and insight to our Faculty, Preceptors and Interns.  Our Board is comprised of a diverse and dynamic team of individuals that come from different professional areas.  Professional areas include business, industry, academia, clinical, food service management, and community/private practice.  Our Board was selected based on their commitment to helping shape and grow the KBDI, prior experience with students and dietetic interns, prior work with ACEND and  professional backgrounds.  Our Board provides external oversight for the internship. 

Anne Kendall, PhD, RD retired as a faculty member from the University of Florida.  Anne served as an ACEND Program Reviewer for 20 years and served two terms on the ACEND Board, one as Chair.  Anne served the profession of dietetics as Legislative Network Coordinator, President and Delegate to the ADA House of Delegates for the New York State Dietetic Association, Applicant Guide Coordinator for the Nutrition and Dietetic Educators and Preceptors practice group and as an Item Writer and Reviewer for the Commission on Dietetic Registration.  Anne worked with students and interns throughout her professional career at the University of Florida and Cornell University.  This role brought her great fulfillment assisting students to achieve their dreams of becoming a Registered Dietitian.  Anne sees her most important role on the KBDI Advisory Board as being a resource to understand ACEND expectations and requirements.  Anne currently live in Gainesville, Florida.  Anne is a passionate birder and spends much time travelling to see birds (when there is not a pandemic raging).

Bonnie Headshot

Bonnie Berube, MS, RD, LDN is a Registered, Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist and the owner of Berube Consulting PLLC. Her company has provided outstanding Food Service and Nutrition Management support to clients in premier Health Care, Corporate, Education, and Legal organizations for over 30 years. Bonnie and her team provide expertise in a variety of areas including clinical nutrition management, database nutrition analysis, meal planning and development, legal consultations, and Food Service Regulation and Management. Bonnie served as Director of Dietetics and Food Service at Memorial Hermann Hospital and Vice President and Manager of Health Care for two major Food Service Distributors. 

Bonnie has a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Houston and a Master’s Degree from Texas Woman’s University. She is a Licensed Dietitian, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and a certified Serv®Safe Trainer and Proctor. She completed the Tuck-WBENC-Executive Program at Dartmouth. 

Bonnie is passionate about nutrition education. She participated in Site Reviews for the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, enjoys speaking at Continuing Education Classes, Nutrition Seminars, and Corporate Wellness Programs, and has mentored students in the University of Texas School of Public Health Dietetic Internship Program, University of Houston and ISPP internship programs of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is presently on the Advisory Committee for the Keith and Associates and KBD Internships. She served on the Advisory Committees of the University of Texas and University of Houston Dietetic Internships. 

Bonnie’s support for the culinary community is evident. She was President of the Houston Area Professionals in the Culinary Arts, and is a member of both the Advisory Committee of the Culinary Arts Program at San Jacinto College. Additional career highlights for Bonnie include teaching at The University of Houston, University of Texas, and Houston Community College, serving as past Presidents for the Texas Dietetic Association, Houston Area Dietetic Association, and Texas Executive Women, and recognition by the Federation of Houston Professional Woman of Excellence.

Dina R. D’Alessandro MS, RDN, CDN is a New York City-based Registered Dietitian and dedicated nutrition professional with over 20 years of experience in the culinary, corporate, and healthcare industries.  Dina’s specialties include high-risk prenatal counseling, diabetes prevention, and chronic disease management. She acknowledges and appreciates that there is no one eating plan, fitness regimen, or daily routine that suits everyone and customizes strategies for her clients to meet their health and wellness goals in a realistic and achievable way.  Dina is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Greater New York Dietetic Association. She holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from CUNY-Lehman College where she is also an adjunct lecturer of undergraduate and graduate nutrition studies. Dina has been a preceptor to dozens of Dietetic Interns over the past 4 years and truly enjoys her mentorship role as she welcomes new colleagues into the field of dietetics.  After working for Beryl Krinsky as a corporate wellness dietitian with B.Komplete and admiring Beryl’s professionalism, perseverance, and fortitude, Dina jumped at the chance to be part of the advisory board and helping launch KBDI, which will give additional opportunities to prospective interns in helping them build up their knowledge and skills in navigating the business waters of this profession.  Please connect with Dina on LinkedIn

Charita James, MS, RD is a Registered Dietitian and the owner of My SoulFull Nutrition, a wellness company that provides guidance on how to have a nourishing and balanced diet and how to make healthier versions of comfort foods. Charita has over 10 years of experience in community and culinary nutrition and  has worked with numerous community based and academic organizations to  develop healthy food interventions and curricula, and projects that galvanize young people in food justice leadership and civic engagement.  She has a deep interest in mentoring dietitians, developing nutrition programs, working with youth, community nutrition, providing culturally sensitive nutrition education, and food justice. Charita is also very passionate about diversifying the dietetics field and eliminating barriers to entry for BIPOC individuals. Charita is thrilled to be a KBDI board member and to contribute to the program’s mission.  She holds a MS in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University, and a BS in Community Health Education from Hunter College. 

Katherine Pett, MS, RD studied Nutrition Biochemistry at Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition and completed an Aramark Dietetic Internship. She now works in Research and Development with Conagra Brands in Chicago.  Please connect with Katherine on LinkedIn.

Keith Hine, MS, RD is a growth strategist with broad sales, brand marketing, and account management experience for science-based nutrition products.  His experience includes consulting with research and development teams creating new formulations, and providing technical advice on a range of medical devices. As a Registered Dietitian, his background blends hands-on experience assessing patients with a variety of health conditions and recommending appropriate nutritional interventions that support recovery and wellness.  Keith’s involvement with diverse nutrition products, programs and medical devices has been essential to creating effective sales and marketing plans that support business and customers objectives.

Keith was recruited by the founder of Orgain, Andrew Abraham, MD, to orchestrate and implement a strategy to grow Orgain’s presence within the healthcare channel and recently with college and professional sports teams. Founded in 2009 by Andrew Abraham, M.D., Orgain’s ambition is to create the highest quality, most nutritious products in the world that revolutionize health and wellness. Kristen P. Hamilton, MSEd, RD, CSSD, LDN, CHES, NSCA-CPT is co-owner and the Director of Performance Nutrition Services for SiSu Systems (www.sisusystems.com). She is passionate about sports nutrition, wellness, and health education. Having spent over a decade in higher education, Kristen enjoys teaching students and interns, while learning from them as well. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from Rutgers University. While not busy working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking and eating new foods, and running. Megan Miraglia MS, RD is currently a Wellness Team Manager at Virgin Pulse and leads an inspiring team of corporate wellness professionals serving their clients across the U.S. Her career brings experience in a variety of wellness roles including childhood nutrition policy research, wellness program account executive, dietetic internship program manager, nutrition counseling, health improvement and insurance strategist, and adjunct professor. She is passionate about using her nutrition and wellness expertise to help grow a culture of well-being and motivate individuals to be their healthiest selves. Inspired by a former opportunity to develop and manage a dietetic internship, she realized her love for working with students and interns. Megan is excited to serve on the KBDI board and help give back to our future dietitians. Natalie Filippone, MS, RD, LDN is a clinical recruiter with Sodexo, the largest private employer of dietitians in the country.  In addition, she works as a clinical dietitian with Sunrise Senior Living, and as a retail dietitian with ACME Markets.  Natalie is happy to share her love for dietetics by teaching and mentoring students in the field.  She resides in Penn Valley, PA with her husband, Brendan, and their daughter, Alessia. She loves traveling, exploring farms and farmers’ markets, cooking, baking, running, and watching her daughter learn and explore.  Natalie interned with Beryl during her Dietetic Internship, and went on to work with B.Komplete as a dietitian.  She is passionate about personally supporting the KBDI mission by serving as a Board Member.  Please connect with Natalie on LinkedIn 

Morgan White, MS, RD, RYT-200 is the Founder of My DI Coach and has had the honor of serving our nation’s heroes as a Clinical Dietitian at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) for nearly ten years. After completing her internship at MEDVAMC, she started as a relief dietitian covering inpatient and outpatient clinics while completing a degree in culinary arts and yoga teacher certification. After a short time as the Employee Wellness Coordinator, she transitioned into her current role of managing a health Promotion/Disease Prevention Home Telehealth program.

Morgan struggled with getting matched to a dietetic internship; it took her three years and four rounds of DICAS to get matched. After sitting on the MEDVAMC DI selection committee, she realized students were making the same mistakes she had on her applications. This inspired her to launched My DI Coach. She has since mentored over 50 students and has a 100% match rate with her full coaching clients. Morgan looks forward to supporting KBDI interns as they continue their journeys to becoming business-savvy dietitians.

Suzi Hinck, MS, RDN, LD  is the founder and CEO of The Parenting Dietitian, her new virtual practice helping parents learn family nutrition and gain confidence to prepare and feed their families healthy meals. Formerly, Suzi was a corporate wellness dietitian and distance dietetic internship program director. She created a new internship program and grew it into a thriving program. Pivoting her career, she decided to follow her passion and is now a business owner and entrepreneur. She is a leader in the field of nutrition and dietetics, and member of the first cohort of the Leadership Institute within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Suzi is passionate about empowering others through nutrition, and is a mentor to rising dietitians. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her husband and two delightful daughters. Tara Simpson, RD, CSSD, LDN is a well-regarded expert in the field of eating disorders, sports nutrition, and nutritional counseling. Tara is the founder of Nutritional Health Systems, a nutrition consulting company based in the Philadelphia area. Started in 2003, Nutritional Health Systems provides nutrition programs and nutritional counseling to a wide variety of patients.  Tara is a registered dietitian (RD) and licensed in the state of Pennsylvania (LDN). She is also a certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD). She is a member of the American Dietetic Association and of the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN) practice group.  Tara has extensive experience and specializes in the areas of eating disorders and sports nutrition. In addition to her experience as an outpatient dietitian, she has 7 years of experience as both a staff and lead dietitian in the inpatient eating disorder setting. During this tenure, Tara designed meal plans, facilitated nutrition groups, and counseled and guided thousands of patients with eating disorders toward their recovery and a healthier lifestyle.  As a sports nutritionist, Tara has counseled athletes at the high school, collegiate, amateur, and professional levels in a variety of sports. She has motivated and assisted countless athletes and active individuals in maximizing their performance through nutrition.  Tara swam competitively at the Division I level in college. She is currently active in the sport of triathlon and competes in the sprint, ½ Ironman, and Ironman distances.

Juliana Grebing, RD, is the founder and CEO of Sarasota Nutrition Center, LLC, a virtual practice in Florida specializing in Medical Nutrition Therapy and personalized nutrition coaching. 

With a background in business development, Juliana seamlessly integrates her passion for entrepreneurship and nutrition to empower clients in achieving their health goals. Her experience as a business developer provided invaluable insights into strategy and growth, guiding her to establish Sarasota Nutrition Center. Her practice reflects her commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible nutrition care.

Graduating summa cum laude from the University of Alabama, Juliana demonstrated exceptional academic prowess. She specifically chose the KBDI internship for its business-focused approach, which aligned with her entrepreneurial background. After completing the KBDI internship, she prepared for the CDR exam, ultimately achieving an impressive 97th percentile score. Her journey to becoming a dietitian, supported by her role as a devoted mother to two daughters, showcases her resilience and determination. Her daughters have witnessed firsthand the dedication and perseverance required to pursue her goals, serving as a source of inspiration throughout her career.

Libby Rothschild, RDN, is the founder of Dietitian Boss™. Patti McCarthy has been working at B.Komplete and the Komplete Business Dietetic Internship since March of 2019. Patti’s previous 33 year experience was working at a technology company where she supported various executives in the Finance, Sales & Marketing, and New Business Development areas. Since joining B.Komplete Patti has appreciated learning more about food, nutrition, and wellness. Patti enjoys new challenges and meeting new people and she is really looking forward to meeting and helping our new interns with their rotation needs.
